The electronic rec department
GHBL Online is where the Garfield Heights Baseball League lives now: an online rec department with five 3-D diamonds, where teams play T-ball and baseball leagues in the browser at 3, 5 and 7 every day.
Why "GHBL"
For decades the Garfield Heights Baseball League ("Since 1952") ran youth baseball on real fields in Garfield Heights, Ohio, and from at least 2010 its website at ghbl.us was powered by WeldonPC (its saved pages end with "This site powered by WeldonPC.com"). The last season the site announced was 2017. The league no longer plays on real fields; its name and its address carry on here as an online league. The history page tells the story, with a source for every fact.
Who runs it
GHBL Online is built and run by WeldonPC. The leagues run themselves: there are no staff, coaches or umpires, and no one watches or moderates players, because there is nothing for anyone to say or share.
What it is not
GHBL Online is a game. It is not the volunteer organization that ran teams on real fields or its board, it does not organise anything that happens on a real field, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Garfield Heights, Garfield Heights City Schools, or any youth baseball league playing today (other leagues use the letters GHBL too). It cannot sign a child up for a real team: for that, ask your local recreation department.
The fine print
Team names are made up from word lists; any likeness to a real team's name is a coincidence. No real players, teams or ballparks appear in the game, and no player of the original league is named or pictured anywhere on the site. See the terms and the privacy notice.
